PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø   I will provide nutritious and balanced meals.  I do not provide specialty formulas, but will provide baby food, regular formula and wet wipes.

Ø   I will provide your child with their own basket to keep their personal belongings in.  Each weekend I will wash their blankets, towels, and/or swimsuit.

Ø   In the event of a family doctor appointment etc. I will have a substitute come in and watch the children or take them with me.  Except for emergencies I will let you know when these times will be.

Ø   I will send newsletters concerning preschool, events, happenings and other activities during the months of September through May.  And occasional newsletters home during the summer months.

Ø   I will have frequent and on-going informal communications with parents concerning their child’s activities, behavior, etc.

Ø   Have activities that are well suited for different ages of children.

Ø   Have rooms and grounds free of hazards.

Ø   Continue to learn, grow and contribute as a professional.

Ø   Assure that Daycare liability insurance is maintained.

Ø   I shall permit and welcome announced and unannounced visits by parents.

Ø   Respect and support families in their task of nurturing families.

Ø   I will love, hug and care for your child and provide a loving home away from home.  This is not just a business to drop your children off at.  My daycare families are a part of my extended family.  Children need hugs, someone that will listen, guidance, someone to play with, discipline and an accepting, loving environment.  My daycare children are not just kids that come here while their parent’s work.  They are part of our family.

Ø   Communicate with myself about the following: guidance, toilet training, food allergies and nap/rest period procedures.

Ø   Please let me know if something has happened that may affect your child (a death in the family, a movie, to bed late, etc).

Ø   If you are running late, please call within 10 minutes of your drops off time or not later than 8:00a.m.

Ø   Make sure you have one or more backup child care options available in case of emergencies.
